films i've watched: january + february

3 Idiots (2009) Very good movie to start the year off with. It's become one of my favourite films. I'm very fond of it now! It was extremely funny and touching so a lot of times I was crying and laughing at the same time. Everyone should watch it.

Fight Club (1999) Watched this after I read the book because I wanted to see how similar it was to the book. I was so disappointed they didn't include the part of the book with Marla finding her mom's liposuctioned fat in the refrigerator. I think that scene would have been gold.

Whisper of the Heart (1995) Cute animation but I think I've become too jaded to appreciate how highly optimistic and innocent the ending was. I got a bit frustrated with the main protagonist at times because I didn't get the point of her wanting to write her novel and I didn't get her frustration so we were all frustrated, let me tell you this. Hahaha.

Iron Man (2008) Watched this at Kuen Kuen's house to kickstart our superhero movie marathon because we are mountain turtles and we haven't watched majority of the superhero movies. Oop at us. The beginning was so draggy omw, I get that we have to know the back story and all but eh, I was underwhelmed. I didn't even get the usual "WOOOH YEAH SUPERHERO FIGHT" feels. Also, I was really distracted at the end because of something else so I think that added on to the overall meh feelings I had for the movie. That's okay though we still have Iron Man 2!

Tropic Thunder (2008) I don't know why I decided to watch this but if I didn't get the charm of RDJ in Iron Man, I totally fell for it in this film. LOVED HIM. Comedy gold. I don't know if what he did was considered black face so pardon my ignorance, but I didn't expect that out of him and I loved it.

The problem with films and I is that I watch them on my laptop and I'm always distracted by things I want to search for on the internet. So I'm not particularly fond of watching films. I have a whole bunch of films all ready to be watched but I'm always ditching them for TV shows that I can be done with in 30 minutes.

I hope in 2013 I'll catch up on a lot of films I've missed out on because I am too cheap to pay for tickets at the cinema, hahaha.
