I managed to meet Vanessa in Disneyland on the third day after a lot of frantic whatsapping and planning. Very thankful and grateful to my dad who was willing to pay for my ticket to the park which wasn't a small sum of money. Despite this being my second trip to the park, I still loved it immensely and if I could have all my major life events happening in a Disney park I would die a very happy person.
I didn't manage to take a lot of photos because; 1. I assumed my camera battery had enough juice leftover from the previous day and I didn't charge it but alas, it was in fact, on the verge of dying, 2. I was with Van, her brother, and two other people from their tour group so I didn't want to keep them waiting. I didn't mind though, because with them I had company to sit the rides, something I didn't manage to do the previous time because no one in my family wanted to take the rides.
Surprisingly there weren't a lot of people in the park compared to the last time I was there, so there weren't very long lines for the rides and we managed to sit some rides more than once. It was great! I also got to watch the World of Color show again, and I was telling Van that the first time I watched it I was so touched that I teared and she kept making fun of me but after the show she saw the light (haha) and she agreed it was very touching.
I just have a lot of feelings for the entire Disney brand/franchise, sigh. It's probably got to do with the fact that I was steadily brought up on Disney movies, books and music. I even had a Disney sing-a-long laserdisc set which I probably watched more than was necessary. Does anyone even remember laserdiscs? Anyway, the laserdisc I loved was Pongo and Perdita and it was about a dog party and all the kids brought their dogs to a party hosted by a woman with dalmatians and I wished with all my 5 year old heart that I could have been one of those kids because I didn't have a dog then. I just had to pen that down for my own sake hahaha.
